Rhode Island Monthly recently visited us in search of a great crepe and published their experience on their website.
Get into a zen-like state and relax into a comfy couch or stool at the Elephant Room, located in darling Pawtuxet Village. Choose from more than forty different types of loose leaf teas procured from around the world, French pressed coffee, or enjoy B.Y.O.B. wine service. There are three separate dining areas including an upstairs lounge with couches and a high-top bar, a lower room with a few wooden tables and an outdoor seating area. Every table is topped with a live plant and the checks are delivered underneath an elephant paperweight to create the feeling that you have escaped to an exotic place. 2170 Broad St., Cranston, 401-461-2170, schastea.com
Savory: The fig and prosciutto crepe topped with a healthy serving of mixed greens, creamy goat cheese, walnuts and raspberry vinaigrette.
Sweet: The dark rum chocolate ganache crepe with fresh raspberries. Dark chocolate ganache is the right way to end a meal and the rum gives you an extra kick of flavor, while the raspberries make you think you’re being healthy.
Other Options: Be sure to try one of their fresh salads that include ingredients like mixed greens, kalamata olives, tomato, red onion and herbed goat cheese in a red wine dressing.
We appreciate the visit and write-up.
